UCSF, a leading medical college, had a number of small departments who needed their own individual websites. Doctors and staff needed to be able to post updates, publish articles, and create content, without coding expertise. But given the size and budgetary requirements of these departments, they couldn’t justify each having a uniquely designed website.

I led the creation of the Universal Department Template, or “Site-in-a-Box.” After working with members of these various departments, I developed a series of templated pages that could meet their various needs, and stand out with some visual uniqueness, without the time intensive process of a full agency web design and development process.
